"I founded the hair thairapist as a collegiate student - athlete and pre-med psychology major through the wake of the pandemic in the year of 2020. The mission? To build a much needed close knit minority community at my PWI with the common goal of becoming our best selves - physically and mentally.
Today, we pride ourselves in “building black connections”, where the salon - a renowned space in black culture - is utilized as a safe zone to connect through communication, commonalities, art, beauty and belonging."

THE BLACK HAIR EXPERIENCE
Founded in 2022, The State of the Black Hair Experience is an annual exhibition held at Syracuse University during black history month which commemorates art work glorifying black hair styles, as well as local and student stylists running black owned businesses.
